Help with Bloodstone Ring quest at mscave

I'm on the Bloodstone ring quest at mscave, I found the person to speak to and he mentions a little problem but won't speak more of it.
Any ideas?

So you have to say 'name' to him and he'll tell his story about how he hid his manuscript in a [[place that I should not be saying where it is in the forumz, plzktnx]]. That's all related information he gives.

Yeah but this NPC can be confusing to some people. If I were new it'd probably take me a long time before figuring how to get him to talk. He says he covered the hollow tree up with leaves yet on sfor you see nothing like that in the map.

The NPC tells you his stage name.

There is a paper, somewhere, with his stage name on it.

It's pretty straight forward, but you do have to show enough interest to get his stage name out of him, and have been wandering around long enough to find said paper and not know what to do with it. More often lacking, I suspect, is the memory of what's on the paper matching up with his spiel.
