My custom hud overlay that I whipped up. I've made a few variations, but I'll only post the full and plain versions because I'm lazy. PM me for the paint.net save to edit the unflattened version if you would like to customise it yourself, or y'know...just customise the .tga file itself.

Full version with the crest and all the icons.

Plain version with no icons, leaving you with just the stamina/weight border and your pots.

Side note: They are a little stretched, but I'm playing with a widescreen resolution (1920x1080).

Let me know what you think!

That's pretty sweet looking - almost makes me tempted to start working on some sort of alternative hud that doesn't drag your eye to the corner.

id like to see just some plain bars for a hud. health, mana, stamina. probably aligned to the top or bottom middle.

- horizontal bars btw.

Yeah, I don't actually have the skillz to do that with the accuracy of the current HUD. No one seems to be able to figure out Dogg's HUD code for some reason.

What I could do, is maybe a multi-frame sprite, with a resolution of maybe 20-30 frames. You'd disable the HUD and use it instead (though, I suppose, you could have both)... I was thinking of like two large semi-transparent red and blue crescents around the center of the screen that manifested when you used mana or were hit, then faded away a half second later... Allowing an "immersive" type HUD that was invisible outside of combat. Though, as the bunny on shender_east suggests, I've had trouble getting sprites onto the HUD itself. TGA's are easier, but they don't fade aesthetically.

Isn't that a wow plugin thothie?

Would be cool though! I like the idea of disabling the original hud.

Not familiar with WoW mods, but the immersive hud design concept's been used in a lot of games. I was kinda disappointed when they didn't use something of the sort in Bioshock - Infinite, like they did in some of the pre-release demos. All that pretty scenery, constantly marred by an obnoxious looking health meter.

I'd pay for Oculus rift support and rift-friendly hud.

Add 280MB to the installer, just for that? I dunno... Maybe we could work it out as a separate downloadable patch.
