I've started on replacing the fugly raven mace with something that might be more suitable:

Here's the concept

I'm actually almost done, i just need the big outer triangle wirelike things, and then a decent skin.

I think the raven mace should be a long stick with a raven (wings half way out) on top of it. my opinion

Actually...I've tried doing something along the lines of that, but it usually ended up pretty retarded looking...

Nuttin saying we can't rename it. I still say it looks like a lance to me. ;) (Till ya drop it - then it looks like a smurf-lance.)

hmm, so...raven staff it is then? :D

edit: oh, but this could still be a good item, depending on how the model turns out i'd say, maybe something to do with lightning...we've got no lightning things as of yet...

It's supposed to be a demonic artifact ('hastened by infernal magics')...So I dunno bout lightning...But I say we've got enough fire stuff  so I'll orient the skin around lightning, and if for nothing else it could become a lightning rod :D

I dunno, but I bet it improves my TV reception. ;)

Hmmm... I think yer going to have to make the prongs thicker to stop it from looking like an egg beater, but, as much as I'd hate to say it, I've a feeling the concept model is what's at fault here.

Although it does remind me of this thing we already have:

3500 - including the glove that holds it in the viewmodel. (Probably 4000 with one of ours).

I notice the player model only has 478 polys though. It seems to use a different tact (is not as detailed).

Hrm...Guess I need to scrap this concept and find another, eh? Don't want too many similar-looking weapons being passed around.

hmm thats close to my mace model:

its a tad under 1200 polys, mostly in the handle. Yay for basic, simple weapons as place holders ^^.

hey now, dont downplay the simple weapons ;)

medieval weapons werent overly complex, just effective...for stabbing, smacking, or knocking people unconcious...
