Alright, I made a bet (is that proper English?) with a friend of mine.

If he would buy this card:
MSI GeForce 6800GS TD256MB DDR TV DVI
Would he be able to get 60+ FPS in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion?

I say... HELL NO OF COURSE NOT.

Games like F.E.A.R. break cards like the 6800... no way he can get 60+ FPS in Oblivion.

I still haven't used it, but as you say it barely handles: FEAR, Doom 3, Quake 4. Then I guess not. but that's not a statement.

I have seen some screenies of oblivion, and am really looking forward to it coming out. Based on what I have seen in the screenshots, I say hell no. It will probably get in the 45-50 range though

I'm not a fan of the GeForce line, nor do I really know much about it, but I think a 256MB 6800 should be able to handle it. However, I also don't know a damn thing about Oblivion, so you might want to disregard my vote.
