[WIP] Volcanic Armor

I'm wondering if you guys think this concept is nice.
I'm not sure how much you can tell from the picture, but meh.



Just because it's Volcanic armor, does NOT mean It is purely fire resistance armor.

The attributes, I've thought about and asked another players opinion of, and I came up with:
Fire Resistance - 25-35%
Damage Reduction - 65%-75% (Anything in between works for me.)
Stun Resistance - 5-10%

Tell me what you think, how I can improve the skin, and/or if it just sucks the cawk.

I need to stop posting skins at 5 in the morning, amirite?

meh got to admit but i dont like this one much... seems that i dont like it bc its similiar to the suit platemail which i kinda hate. Anyways if its possible you should make the armour as much as possible has the reskinned body part, i mean all the armour looking the same rather than being half platemail/volcanic. I'm not sure if that's possible but aob and PA seem to show a lil what i mean :wink:

It's WiP, I'm not done. The only part of this one I actually changed is the backside platemail. That's the only part.

I'm not sure this is public information (I believe I've seen thoth post it before though on the forums) by armor is capped at 60% damage resistance. This coupled with Greater potion of protection and ice shield drastically (insanely is a better word for it) reduces even the highest damage to a fraction of what the original output would have been at 0, or even the original 60.

Thoth I'm sure will either come in here and wring my neck, or end up posting numbers he once produced.

Something like 1000 x .6 x .5 x .75 or whatever the numbers are.

Besides that, maybe doable.

Actually, if the combined base protections come close to 100% it causes some bugs (player "undeath" or heal-when-struck effect), so the armor, by itself, is limited to how high it can be set, however, it can be combined with applyeffects and the like. As a result, I don't think we'll ever see any armors with more protection than gold - but gold + other effects are always doable. Also trying to avoid making it easy to gain permanent 100% resistance to any other elements - squashed enough fire-map concepts with that already (not an issue with this concept, I realize, but I thought I'd just toss that out there).

But, in regards to your formula, with combined armor and applyeffects, yeah, it can be pretty sick.

1000hp damage vs. Gold Armor (60%) + Ice Shield (50%) + G.Prot Potion (60%) = 80hp damage

So yes, again, it can be pretty sick. ^_^

Also, the current stun resist system can't stack effects - which is why such effects are restricted to helms.

Damn bugs and spells and potions raping my ideas.
I also thought Gold armor had more protection than that. :/

I was under the impression that gold armor has 55% damage resistance and not 60%. Which is still quite a lot, if you ask me. The phoenix armor, armor of bravery and dark armor have 50% damage resistance.

the stats you gave it made me think its just another armor. it gave me no motivation to seek it out and wear it. you gotta be likee.. oh and its charge attack is a volcano without having to find the scroll or tomb just right click wearing nothing but the armor and a volcano appears! use no mana to summon volcano
itl be just a better way to grind fire exp.
idk.
