Why can I not attach the .mdl to these forums.... nor the .jpg or anything?

EDIT: I went and checked also and it appears that the source for the Wintercleaver ice axe is also gone. I hope you got that while it was still here Thothie

That seems like it would look a little.. strange in game. Maybe just dismember the orc model and use that?

Ok well when I get back to my desktop Ill try some of those other uploading options... and yes its just the standard HL Human gibs but I orcified them! Actually I think ill add some kewl orc teeth on the skull gib...

Because the MS orc model is the ugliest thing I have ever seen. I have often thought of making a really nice orc model for you guys but seeing as my own life is even getting in the way of my work on Doom Hunt now it will probably be a while...

Meh, totally stolen and totally too many poly. ;)

Fully rigged and with 233 anims though. :\

It needs more variations for the various orcs and needs the anims to be run through and mirrored to the current animation #'s, not too hard but time consuming. Just how many poly is that?

Go look some free models on turbosquid thothie and see if you find an orc

Just saying, if anyone should be scouring Turbosquid for new models... >_>

Cuz ya know me, I'll just take whatever I can get.

and like I said, if you do, take some which are not part from another game.

Of course that doesnt mean we cant get an original orc model ourselves. We should HD the sh*t out of the old models

Beyond what I can do, and I've got far too much on my plate to be looking into replacing a working model atm, either via Turbosquid or via piracy. But if ya come up with something, I'll adjust scripts for it if need be.

When I'm this far behind in work the "somebody else's problem" cloaking device is particularly effective. ;)

Jeeze, a lot of these are stolen, and they are turning around and trying to sell them. >_> Meh, at least when we steal we're non-profit. ;)

Meh, get models however ya see fit, I'll try to stick em in if ya find something.

Wonder if we'll ever get our rat animated. ;)

im still in school =/ but... i think as a side project from my own once i get back... iv been debating on remodeling everything i can in msc... lower poly... honestly to help with the preformance... also... so things match a little more...i still say msc should be rebuilton its own custom engine built off of the quake engine... the engine is open source and limitations like map size, edicts and entitie counts can be raised... there's so much life still in the quake community and for it to be turned away from because its older is personally wrong to me... after all... half-life was built off the same engine... so essentially your still using it... i mean you can still use half-life 1 formats in the engine the just have to be coded into the engine... there was even a direct-x version of quake which was re-written from scratch which renders everything so smoothly and things like big open areas are much less of a problem. there are so many possibilites which you have open source on the engine ... unlike half-life which has to have sets of dll files just to do anything. if anything these mods such as msc is nothing but a big hack to the half-life engine.

Dunno why'd we'd go back to the Quake engine, which the Half-Life engine is based on, when Quake3 is open source.

Also no idea what this has to do with orc models.
