Kinda, WTF? (Spoilers)

Uh two questions.

First of all... Frost bolt is supposed to be sold at Gate City right? If it is, the mage is hiding it behind the counter.

And secondly, i'm running a lan server, and storing characters on the server did some weird crap, but client chars have to save the transition before moving to the next zone or they have to restart the game, any way to get around that?

You'll need to add sv_lan 1 to your listenserver.cfg/server.cfg, along with the character storage type you wish to use. (See ye old wiki).

Yer still always better off on-line, as it's easier to get sufficient players together to take on the bosses, and find out where things are.

Well if you knew us, you'd know we play LAN whenever it is available.

We've already taken out The Lord Of The Lands, ehehe, took forever, he was running around at light speed.


We should be able to handle all the bosses without any extra help.

How hard is that map? We are pretty good at obstructing and zapping enemies, so if we can do that, we'll be ok.


EDIT: My friend's character has the item bug. He has to drop everything most times to get everything right, what should be done?

The Ice Djinn can be tough if you don't know how to do it right. There's really no place to get him stuck in his lair (not with the typical style, anyhow).

I just figured that out, BUT, Bosses only get 25% HP if THEY kill you, right?

If the icetroll kills me, Djinn doesnt get 25% HP does he?

And I know to jump off the cliff to savemyself from DP before he kills me anyway.

I'm fairly certain that if the ice troll kills you the djinn doesn't profit, but you never know what Thothie may rig up

Its probably going to be a while before we can take this beast.

Is there any custom maps with Frostbolt in them? Or any other places I could try?

Ice Shamans drop them sometimes, but you'll be getting owned by them, too, since they only come in groups with other shamans, warriors, etc. Plus the whole I'M GOING TO FREEZE/STUN YOU THEN RUN AND KEEP HITTING YOU LAWL thing they do.

Edit: Oh, and I don't think you can get poison at your level, but an undead lord holds onto a powerful spell with the power to destroy undead ;-)

Well if a swordsman can make level 20 in a few hours by buying a longsword, but a mage can't get a third damaging skill till he can take out a freaking boss, than I think everyone should be ok with that mage hiding behind walls and on ledges.

Get 1600$ and get it from a very cold place, a legit custom map That's what I always do everytime I start a new char (happens quite often)

Yup, Perfect Skull Blade made getting to 12 swordsmanship easy. Going to kill Calrian now so I can get the mace.

Heres another question though.

Does the Djinn himself drop anything? Or is all the loot in the chest?

(I guess i'll tell everyone this, it isnt an expliot, more like a bug)

After a while of running back and forth and shootin fireballs at the Djinn, and falling off cliffs and crap... He started throwing, not me, but himself.

In short, he jumped the cliff.

So, I never got to attempt to loot his body.
