"...\half-life\msc\dev" You'll find the .fgd file there.

Use the half-life.fgd that comes with it as well, it is a bit customized.

...And read yonder novel.

I'm a bit unclear of these "scripts" could you explain all about them?

Scripts... Are basically what make everything happen in the MSC world. As a beginning mapper, all ye need worry about, most likely, are monster scripts. You only need to worry about placing existing scripts - not about writing your own.

The "Custom Script File" (scriptfile) property of any msmonster_xxx or ms_npc entity determines what sort of monster the entity will be. (See aforementioned novel) If you want an Orc Flayer, for instance, one would use the scriptfile "monsters/orc_flayer". There's a fairly exhaustive list of available monster script files here as mentioned in the hither to repeatedly mentioned novel of TL;DR.

Scripts can also create treasure chests, change weather, create effects, and handle various map events, however, these need to be custom designed for your map by the dev team, as, to some degree, do new monsters and interactive NPCs with specific behaviors. You'll have tell the dev team what you need. Best to stick to something not too far removed from an existing script, however, so as to be sure that such things can be created quickly and easily. ( And don't expect us to go to work, until you have a fairly well progressed RMF to submit to us, and thus convince us we aren't wasting our time. ;) )

Sadly, I think I'm the last remaining member of the team with an in-depth understanding of the MSC scripting language. I've been trying to remedy this, but most often, students quickly grow weary of my teaching methods, or are driven away by being constantly harangued, by certain elements of the community, for a new Weapons of Godhood or infinite XP monsters of papier-mâché (or when creating obstacles to their or their friend's ascent into godhood). There is extensive documentation, but it is quite erratic, and doesn't cover many of the unexpected idiosyncrasies that crop up in the somewhat patch-work scripting language (having been developed, like everything in MSC, by several different coders, each with their own ideas of how things should work, over the space of nearly a decade).

I've been working up a Wiki to help remedy this situation, and I've been considering making it available to the general public. It may give cheaters more ammunition, but I think the worst it will likely do is give them more search strings to look for, and MiB has been working on defeating the evil cheat programs that depend on such things. Only other worry is that new Wiki activity may attract fresh bots to said, but I've managed to coral the current bots to various decoy pages and with luck, can always do so again, if need be.

Alright, now I think I understand scripts :D. Thanks dude, but did you say you will teach coding for MSC? If so, I will be your #1 student to learn :D

Let's just concentrate on getting a map to put said scripts in first. ;)

The official script request thread is here, should you have ideas, but you can always PM myself or Mikkel if you want to avoid airing spoilers for your map plans to the general public.

Well, I would give you ingame screenshots but VHEs being a triple cunted mofo, so here are hammer screenshots. :?

It's not much but again im a slow mapper.

The objective of my series is to kill four Behemoths, and once all four Behemoths are killed, it will open a door to a hidden map(So no votemap) and you destroy an evil machine. Heres the FULL EDITED story,

Before time began even before the Loredlians, even before existence! There were only two beings that exsisted at the time and they represented Order and Chaos. Order, as always, is trying to stop Chao's plots to bring harm. One day Chaos was on the brink of destruction so before he was destroyed, he created a fiend called "Laragant"(pronounced Lor-uh-gont). Laragant was given half of Chao's power so Laragant could resurrect Chaos later. So Chaos was destroyed and Laragant remand alive, and once space, time, and everything was created by Order, Laragant finally tried to resurrect Chaos again. But, Order did not want this to happen, so Order tried to put a stop to Laragant in resurecting Chaos. But it was too late, Laragant resurrected Chaos to his weakest from. But since it was Chao's weakest form, Order easily sealed Chaos away in another dimension guarded by the MOST powerful seal ever created. Once Chaos was sealed away, Order took care of Laragant next. But before Order was going to take down Laragant, Laragant created four Behemoths. The Behemoth of Hate, The Behemoth of Greed, The Behemoth of War, and the Behemoth God. Laragant hood all four behemoths in temples Laragant had created and they where built across the continent of Daragoth. Laragant was stronger than Chaos at the time, so Order couldn't use another seal like the one they used to seal Chaos away for another 1000 years so they separated Laragants soul and physical body apart. They forced Laragants soul in a machine and Order was going to seal the machine away in a tomb guarded by a weaker seal. But before the fusion was complete, Largant put a spell on all four Behemoths so that when they where killed they would break the seals magic one by one in till the seal was completely broken and the door will open then Laragant will rain once more.
(LoL, this is longer than most mod storys I make)

Criticism (which is meant to be constructive) on what I see:
- The door texture you used needs to be shifted a bit; those fancy decoration things (with the purple gems in the middle) on the texture are supposed to be the door handles - you can clearly see this if you select the texture. So shift the texture's X position by half the texture width.
- Vary your texture usage. I count five unique textures (including "SKY") in two screenshots. That's not really a lot.
- In the first screenshot you can see a stretched texture, near the ceiling (where the pillars end). You might want to 'un-stretch' it.
- The texture you're using for those gigantic rooms has a resolution that's too small. You need to either upscale it so that it looks less repetitive, downsize the rooms or - better yet if you ask me - choose a different texture for those gigantic faces.
- In the second screenshot, there's two triangle-shaped holes in the ceiling. If this is supposed to be a broken part of the ceiling, it doesn't look very realistic - sorry to say.

Keep it up though; the background story made me curious enough, even though it doesn't really fit with the MasterSword lore. It'd be even better if you altered it to fit in nicely, but it's your map, so don't mind me

Alright, i'll get to work on it right away. Also, I read the summary of the lore of MSC and I could edit it some more to fit it within a bit. But, let me explain some of it. As I ment by the begining I men't by nothing was create, no atoms, no time, nothing, absolutley nothing existed excpet for Good and Evil(I would name them but It might conflict with the MSC story even more). When Good created evreything(it was even before the Loreldians) thats when it takes place, waaaaaaaay before anything. I should edit that part into the background story.

i just know it will be hard to know which sound will fit well into your map without knowing so much of it xD
Anyways from the list above, the first 4 on top are probably the best (my choice) and the one you picked isnt that bad at all

Well it works when I run the map in HL1 but not in MSC, nut anyway, is there a way I can add a custom item(Like an ACUTAL) item like you find in a chest? Do I need to request it by the dev team and they migth make it?

Which sprite does it say you are missing EXACTLY. And do you have the latest version of MSC and patch from yonder page, rather than from some other, less reputable, source?
