Cant Play, help me please :(

Hi everybody
I have been trying to play MSC for 48 Hour now, i dont know what happen... when i change to MSC mod, while im on the main menu the game suddenly close (most of the time) but if not, when i try to start a lan game... nothing happens...

What version of Hal life do i need to play? ...i downloaded half life like 7 times now... different versions... but nothing change, the games keeps closing on the MSC main menu without any error message

can i play with a non steam version? (on LAn) i just want to play with my brother

by the way, i downloaded MSC full installer and patch from your official site...
i made a folder for MSC and paste it on half life directory...

i really want to play this mod

It's best to get steam installed on your computer, buy half life (it's really cheap, they even offer discounts once in a while), then you are free to play any mods with minimal issues. That's all i can tell you.

You can even just buy 1 copy of Half-Life, and install Steam with Half-Life and MS:C on both computers, and log into the one steam account on one computer, open the game, and then start steam on the other.

The Steam client is really easy to manipulate with sharing the same profile for LAN purposes.

If yer getting a client.dll error - mind you, we did have a patch just a few hours ago.

i just Downloaded and installed Half life (9.99) from Steam ... how can i install MSC now? i cant see the custom game option
Should i add the MSC folder (unziped) in the c:/Steam/SteamApps/? (copy and paste or install)
or inside c:/Steam/SteamApps/Myusername/Halflife ?
or maybe i should try to reinstall half in a diferent folder... idk

Please I need your help again :S

Double posting and re-posting threads doesn't always help your case...


Run the MS:C executable file, and it'll do everything for you.

Re-start steam, and it should be listed in your library.

Run Half-Life first - just load up the training course - to make sure that Steam actually downloads the whole thing. Sometimes it holds off downloading bits until you actually play the game.
