Known issues
MAJOR
:arrow: Still getting No Free Edict Errors (ED_Alloc:no free edicts)
- Using "-num_edicts 4096" in the HLDS switches, and having the server restart when it is empty ("ms_reset_if_empty 1" in server.cfg), combined with giving another minute or two leeway for restarts seems to help alleviate this problem quite a bit, if not eliminate it.

Minor
:idea: Some players still can't delete their own characters (actually, fixed)
:?: Can't use push attacks while under the influence of leadfoot potion
:arrow: Sploitie bits in Umulak
:idea: Hoarforst ice shards fail

Aesthetic
• When first created, female characters are male on char selection screen
• Female model quivers when wearing leather armor
• Female model is fugly as sin
• No one likes Orochi's demon claws. :/

Ancient/Perpetual
Known Ancient bugs:
- All entities invisible bug (type kill in console to cure).
- Lights/sprites not going away / sticking to other objects (Sticky client-side effects)
- Occasionally a weapon/spell will stop doing damage until it is unequipped then re-equipped.
- Can't use charge attack in laggy conditions. (Work around: use +special or +uber)
- Sitting animation bugs (sometimes saves to character for awhile)
- All water sometimes goes white (texture stretch bug, restart)
- Typing issues in chat. Especially with European keyboards.
- Various Health/mana indicator madness (see also yonder)
- Small sack holds stuff it should not.
- Ticket Bank freaks if you have more than one of the ticket or item you are trying to trade
--> Galat chest does not have this issue.
- Double attack bug, most prominant with xbows
- All tomahawks appear as fire tomahawks in third person

Also Not liable to go away soon:
- Some monsters still capable of some acts while frozen (jumping, etc.)
- Orion Bow jamming sometimes, (I've no idea how to fix this without dropping the whole charged weapon concept.)
- Jumping from server to server without closing HL screws with FN functionality (solution: Close half-life before joining another game.)

Resolved from MAR2010b:
Fixed various spell casting / purchasing limitations.
• Fixed various ammo stacking issues.
• Fixed Olof being even crazier than usual (re-wrote script from ground up)
• Fixed folks not being able to delete their characters (hopefully)
• Fixed "body parts vanishing" and "transexual" issues caused by glowshells and the like
• Fixed CL effect on Torkalath bows
• If Forsuth is stuck in the elevator on The_Wall, he will eventually teleport to the top
• Various other attempts to make Forsuth more dependable.
- PS. Suggest using the *inside* pillar when getting Forsuth to travel up the spiral.
• Some optimization for NPC death sequences (still not killed pfn_Think bug though)
• Fixed various bugs with individualized treasure chests (hopefully - under new system).
• Fixed Bludgeon's stunning with DOT at a distance.
• Fixed some flaws with the vote system hanging (hopefully).
• Fixed some bugs related to the new Steam UI.
• Fixed various "script duplication" bugs causing various strange errors (though we've not tracked them all down yet).
• Fixed various potential base_chat related bugs.
• Fixed bug with the Felewyn ring quest.
• Fixed some poison/spore cloud related bugs.
• Fixed some magic circles being subject to push attacks.
• Fixed some bugs with Captain Ron and a few other vendors.
• Fixed the ****ing Iron Guardian. (Hopefully)
• Fixed Ethereal dagger secondary attack not bypassing armor.
• Holdan Returns!
• Generated Tickets for various neglected items.

On Umulak one of the mummies walked into the teleport pit in the boss room. It stayed there at the bottom of the pit, so that made it even easier to stay out of its rape range and arrow it to death.

Most of the monsters don't seem to be able to go through the narrow passages either - they just stay at the entrance and get raped by long range weapons.

Dunno waddup with ice lance.

Demon claws switched over to the consolidated model by Orochi. Orochi did not like the demon red gauntlet thingies. Been getting mass protests in chat logs (must admit they do seem a bit "naked"), may see what I can do later.

There are several sploitie bits in Umulak that'll likely have to be fixed before we stick the first of the magical polearms in there, as I suspect we shall... Eventually...

Sometimes when I pick up arrows it replaces the arrow name with something else, it still says the amount though. It happened twice, one time it showed a bunch of squares (the kind windows uses when you don't have the character it's trying to display) and the other time it said (null). The arrows seem to work just fine though. (used some on the WORKING Iron Guardian :D )

You can't get Fshards anymore! (It doesn't appear after you beat the boss)

Usually when I disagree with you on something, there's a bunch of people who say "J-M, stop whining, the reward is actually more reasonable than you think". But I have yet to find one person who agrees with there being a Torkalath Blade (req. Swordsmanship prof. 15) in a map that's advertised as level 40+ / 700+ HP.

I rest my case.

I got hit by that too, yet there were people playing in there... Hrmm....

This bug used to show up on listenservers when the host started on certain maps. It went away after a certain Steam patch. The solution was to start on Edana or Char_Recover (or other dependable map), then warp to the offending map. However, when I tried that, it didn't work for me. :\

Then I shall simply make it so there's a 20% chance you get nothing at all, as that's basically the point. (Although it's actually 12.5% ATM...)

There's always a chance, if everyone on the map has (or has had) the Felewyn shard that spawns, that the cascading system will not be able to find a valid recipient for the Felewyn shard in question. If that was the case, the system is still likely working as it should, but if not, I'll have to look into it.... Need to work up a message for that in anycase.

But a useful rare consumable would probably be a better reward.

(Better yet, a consolation prize crest, old_helena style :D )

I don't think N1ghtmare has had any Felewyn Shards, since he didn't seem to know what to do on that map.

Is it possible that he got flagged as having had the felewyn shard if he helped someone transfer it to an alt?

Update again. Make sure msc/cl_dlls/client.dll is dated May 2nd, 2010 (or thereabouts adjusting for time zone GMT-8). Make sure you are not running Steam (much less the game) when updating. For double saftey, reboot after closing the game and Steam, making sure that Steam does not automagically start with Windows (settings).

I've never had, nor do I own an Fshard. In the past I have made transfers. Supposedly one of the symbol rumors was that you had to drop your Fshard before opening the chest to get it to spawn..... is something similar implemented to obtain an Fshard, like say Keldorn had a shard 5 on him at the time(not sure if he even had any on him while he was helping me.) after we kill undaemal a shard 5 should drop, but since Keldorn already has one, it gets cancelled out? Once again I've never had an Fshard so I don't know.

Really, the system is designed so it's supposed to be one person, one shard, one symbol - but it's glitchy as hell, and never has seemed to work quite right, hence we have all these folks running around with collections.

I typed it in the console It displays "quest f is" I have no symbols right now...

A few monsters are acting really weird now.

In islesofdread1, the Dread Zombie never attacked us until it was almost dead, it was just walking around.

On foutpost, the orcs and trolls work work just fine - until they got into the outpost, then they would just start walking around and ignore everyone who attacks them....the humans did not do the same.

The wall has crashed on me 5 fucking times now, all between the second and third boss.
Can someone tell me why the hell it keep crashing?

I think the map's lighting affects that. The bear is fine on old_helena and maybe some other maps.
What I'd really like to see is the legs animated.

Seriously do we really need to turn into a half assed bear? why not just the bear is a glowing additive and say you are infused with the spirit of the bear or something?
