So when people borrow things they're allowed to give it away now? It was a LOAN, meaning it's supposed to be given back to me. You can't give away things that don't belong to you. I do have the right to step in when people are giving away MY possessions.
I don't care if YOU don't view YOUR equipment as valued possessions, but I do.

Although, you are right about it actually being none of my business if he's high enough for it or not. In a normal case I can merely suggest to him to not take the stuff, like I normally do.

We really aren't going to do anything about this subject, the best that could be done would be investigating the truth behind all of this and get one of you guys banned (or both) as sometimes both sides could end up lieing.

If an item was stolen, there will be NO rollback for any of the characters involved. At least that's how it usually goes, plus a whorefrost is no big deal, go earn a new one each of you, after pitting the one either of you holds.

Even if they are the ones asking for it, it's still wrong. You are breaking their gameplay time by handing them over items to be kept forever. I used to be like that too when i couldn't afford to carry so many spares, so i had to ditch some of them to guildmates or friendly guildbanks otherwise it would go to waste. I still do this inside the guild i'm in, outside of it not likely to happen.
There's a huge difference between lending an item to a player and simply giving it to him. Lending an item will help a player beat maps easier, level up easier and be more usefull in the end to the party. When i lend an item to a newcomer i tell him this: "You can keep this item untill you earn one yourself". I've lent a hoarfrost to a guy i met on lan, brought him to FN to start anew along with his buddy and i told him that, i didn't want to ruin his experience by giving free stuff. So i lent him that item to help kill things and when he earns one himself, i will request it back, since it's an item that belongs to me.

Do as i said, whoever has the hoarfrost pit it in front of the other ones involved in this. Form a group, run the map, get new ones. That hoarfrost is cursed i tell you, so best to get a new one before it eats your insides or something...
I would even help but i'm tired of that one map that drops it .

May be a perfectly good sword but i do deem it cursed, and you should really get a new one as soon as possible. At least i wouldn't be happy keeping an item that caused trouble between a group of players, it's like a token of a bad memory, plus it should redeem you if you pit it in front of everyone involved, so nobody cries and gets over it.

Toss it into the abyss in ms_cave. But don't do that with too many bone blades. I heard something terrible happens if you toss to many of them into it.
