As far as I know, Gothic doesn't support bump mapping.
Maybe someone should make the model in the shoulder area a little bit more bulky (but not much). This wouldn't need more poly's.

Of course, but look at the models from the game Gothic (1 and 2). As example: *click 1* *click 2* *click 3*
The fur-part looks bigger and more like fur and the effect wouldn't be that "fluffy" with just a new texture on a more flat-like object.

Hello,
why not make "real" fur for the armor on the model?
With this, the armor would also become a little bit "bigger", more "fur" looking. Shouldn't be that hard to model.
