Just got the .bsp, .map and .res files for calruin2 off a mate, all obviously patched with the may installer. We attempt blacksmith on my server again, bam, says its still dated for me. Is there any hope for me?

Try going to http://www.nvidia.com/content/drivers/drivers.asp and acquiring the "FX Series" Drivers, or ones relevant to your Card. Thats my two cents.
