Ogres

Ogres, like Trolls, are among those sentient creatures, altered by magic, that once bolstered the Orc armies of Lor Malgoriand. These were fast moving, ferocious, viscous creatures, much more difficult to control than the slow-witted Trolls. As such, after the fall of Lor Malgoriand, most went feral and became wild beasts, retreating to the wilderness, with very little, if any, recognition of their former masters. Ogres, like the Orcs they were derived from, come in many shades, with varying strengths and weaknesses.

Recent sightings of Ogres fighting side by side with Orcs have lead some to speculate that the Orcs have either managed to tame these savage beasts once again, or something else has done so for them.
