Kharaztorant Cult

The Kharaztorant Cult formed a few centuries before The Age of Blood, after the great dragon Kharaztorant suffered a crushing defeat at the hands of the Dwarven armies and was forced into hiding. Consisting mostly of humans, dazzled by promises of great power, the fanatical cult seeks to do the will of Kharaztorant and make way for the eventual return of their master.
- Kharaztorant Acolytes - Also known as "The Blades of Khaztor", these zealots make up the bulk of the cult's forces. Each is given a enchanted ritual knife and trained in combat and magic to help aid the cult's ends.
- Kharaztorant Larva - Upon being deemed worthy of initiation, each Acolyte recieves "The Blessing of Kharaztorant", as a form of trial. Those that fail the test (which would be most of them) devolve into these twisted demonic beings, no longer recognizable as the humans they may have once been.
- Kharaztorant Childre - Given time, care, and enough food, the Kharaztorant Larva eventually grow to into these terrifying beasts. These are fast moving, armored bundles of claws that have the power to generate fire and turn invisible at will. It is believed the next stage beyond this is the dreaded Fire Lizard, although no direct connection has been proven.
- Kharaztorant Initiates - Those Acolytes who survive "The Blessing of Kharaztorant" become Initiates. They can draw upon the power of Kharaztorant now hosted within them, and thus are devistating sorcerers.
- Kharaztorant Hollow One - The elder initiates are eventually physically consumed by the very power of Kharaztorant, leaving only this empty shell of insidious magic that makes up the highest ranks of the cult.
