Djinn
From Master Sword Wiki
The Djinn are abominations created by the eldest and most powerful of the Orcish shamans and evil wizards. The shaman or wizard summons an Elemental of the type he or she is specialized in, and binds it to a creature, usually a Troll, through a ritual of possession.
The resulting monstrosity is more powerful, in some ways, than a fresh Elemental, and like an elemental, becomes more powerful over time, gaining immortality through the transformation process. The fact that they are only possessed, and not pure Elemental, also helps protect them from Divine magics, normally deadly to elementals. This final advantage lessens with age, however, as the creature becomes less and less part of this world. There are stories of Djinn so twisted with age and power that one can no longer tell what sort of creature they may have once been.
Djinn are rare, for most of the magics used to create them were lost in the last Great War with Lor Malgoriand, during which most of them were destroyed. However, a few can still be found in the deeper, darker parts of the Daragoth, biding their time as they await the return of their masters.
The Lightning D'jinn Ji'Azolt - One of the more powerful Djinn of the Shahaddar Orc armies was imprisoned in the Temple of Cleicert by a group of Priests. Knowing that they could not destroy him, they sealed him in the innermost chamber and bound him to a dimension inaccessible to anyone without the four crystals, which were scattered throughout the temple together with a host of guardians.
The Fire D'jinn Val-Sul - Is a young Djinn rumored to have been created by the wizards of the Kharaztorant Cult.
