Controls
[edit] Default ControlsThese are what your controls will be when first installing the game. Most can be changed at any time from the Options menu. However, some may not have a default key and must be bound via the console. |

accept | Accepts actions like party joinrequests and traveling from zone to zone. |

+use | Has various functions in Master Sword: Continued. One is the same as all Half-Life games and mods, which is to use buttons, doors, etc. When an NPC is used, different things can happen, but most often it opens a shop or special menu if applicable. |
| Q | use | Equips a pack, bow or armor piece or sheaths a weapon held in your currently selected hand. |
| C | drop | Drops anything in your currently selected hand. |

get |
Picks up an item from the ground. If there are stacked items, you will get a list and you must choose which item to pick up using the number keys 0 to 9. |
| MOUSE 1 | +attack | Uses the item held in your currently selected hand. I.E. Attacks with your fists (if nothing held in either hand), a weapon you're currently holding or drinks potions. |
| MOUSE 2 | +attack2 | Uses the item held in your off-hand (The one not currently selected) I.E. Attacks with your offhand Weapon, uses item in offhand. |
| MOUSE 3 | switchhands | Switches your currently selected hand. |
| 1 | quickslot weapon | Cycles through weapons in your inventory. |
| 2 | quickslot spell | Cycles through spells you have memorized. |
| 3 | inventory | Bring up the Inventory Menu. For further info on the inventory menu, see Interface Guide. |
| P | playerinfo | Toggles display of a window with your name, statistics, skills, and experience. |
| V | act | Brings up/closes the Action Menu, which lists emotions and actions you can perform. Sitting down is a special action, and can be toggled. You recover health faster while sitting, but cannot move or attack. |
| Y | say_text 0 | Chatting on the global channel. This is like the normal chat in other Half-Life games and mods. |
| U | say_text 1 | Chatting on the local channel. This is a short range "real voice" chat, mainly used for communicating special phrases to NPCs or talking privately to people close to you. |
| I | say_text 2 | Chatting on the party channel. This is only used when you're in a party, and functions similarly to Team Chat is other Half-Life mods and games. It will send messages to only party members. |
| F1-F10 | +quickslot 1-10 | Configurable quick keys; pulls out the item bound to that slot when pressed. To set a quick key, pull out the item you wish to set the quick key to, then make sure it is in your currently selected hand, then press and hold the quickslot key you wish to set it to. When a yellow message pops up saying "Assigned Quickslot#" the quickslot has been set, and to access the item you merely press the button once. To re-assign a used quickslot, simply repeat the above steps but with a new item in hand. |
| F11 | menu interact | Brings up the interaction menu. Brings up a menu with various funcations. When used while looking at a player, it brings up a list of functions related to player interaction. Trade is currently non-functional due to bugs. When used while looking at an NPC, it brings up a list of topics to talk to the NPC about, or various other functions like banking. |
| F12 | menu main | Brings up the Ingame Main Menu which has options for casting Time and Kick Votes and forming Parties |
| <none> | joinparty "name" | Creates/joins a party with the desired name. If you're the leader, you'll have to press the Accept key to let your friend join. Being in a party enables the private party-chat. This can also be done from the Ingame Main Menu |
| <none> | leaveparty | Leaves your current party. If you're the leader, the first member who joined becomes the new leader. This can also be done from the Ingame Main Menu. |
| <none> | help | Toggles the display of certain in-world Beginner Help sprite graphics in the Village of Edana. |

| Double-tapping Forward | Double tapping your forward key (W by default) and holding it makes you run. Running drains stamina slowly. Let go of your forward key to stop running. | |
| Double-tapping Attack | Double clicking and holding your Attack key (Mouse Button 1 by default) charges your special attack. Let go to unleash the attack. You need to be a decent level in the skill for your current weapon to use it. | |

| ms_music_volume | 0.0-1.0 | Turns the volume up/down. 0.0 is silent, 1.0 is full blast |
| ms_txthud_history | 0-100 | Controls how many lines are saved in the chat box |
| ms_txthud_decaytime | Integer | The chat box will shrink by one line every <sec> seconds |
| ms_reflect | 1/0 | Enable or disable reflective surfaces (Enabled = moderate performance hit) |
| ms_lildude | 1/0 | Enable or disable the red Player Representation on the HUD |
| ms_hidehud | 1/0 | Enable or disable HUD. Purpose is to remove the big 'up side down bottle' display bug. |
| show_health | 1/0 | Enable or disable displaying showing HP/MP in the combat log. |
