Apostle

From Master Sword Wiki

A servant of the Loreldians of The Triad. Apostles were once mortals of elf, dwarf, and human kind who were chosen by the The Triad to represent their will on the mortal plane. Their powers over fate are immense, wielding magics far surpassing those of mortals, and they are seldom seen. Most take the guise of regular people, subtly influencing events, but occaisionally an Apostle will appear in full splendor.

There are currently six "official" apostles, though more have been chosen (or claim to have been chosen) over the countless generations that have passed since the first apostles were chosen. The six 'well-known' are listed here, sorted by who chose them:

Pathos:

  • Lanethan - Represents Pathos' Order-side, an elf of pale skin and dark hair formerly known as Aginor. He used to be Felewyn's Apostle, until the demise of Idemark at the hands of Lor Malgoriand.
  • Iquitas - Represents Pathos' Chaos-side, also an elf. She is Idemark's sister.

Felewyn:

  • Tungar - A being whose physical appearance is unknown. He is said to be a purely mental essence that wanders the land. Almost no one has seen him in physical form, and his alleigance to Felewyn is rather loose. He has not appeared in a great number of years.
  • Akanli - A stout being of dwarven heritage. Said to appear as a giant with golden hair wielding a crystalline axe.

Urdual:

  • Myrlance - A human with greyish hair. Tasked with balancing war and seeking out unnatural gaps that may appear in the souls of warriors.

Torkalath:

  • Kurgoth - Once a wild elf named Cristiel, now rarely seen except as a menacing black shadow. His physical form was warped by Torkalath to better suit an Apostle of Chaos.
